Talking about our story fills us with pride. Walsywa was founded in 1964 by Walter Zumbano, a professor at Senai, who identified a shortage in the market for national powder tools. At the time, these products were imported.
Along with two other partners, Sylvano and Waldemar, the professor came up with the name Walsywa – the addition of his initials. With units in Brazil and operations in countries such as Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela and Chile, the company was sold to the American group Mapri, and later to the Böllhoff group.
At this time, Walsywa introduced Chemical Fastening in the country. At the end of 2003, Wolfgang Schrott and Raul Martinelli – executives at Böllhoff – carried out an MBO (Management Buyout) and acquired the company, starting the 4th generation in their direction.
Over time, we took part in numerous projects of great importance, such as the Corinthians Arena, the Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant, the Rodoanel, the São Paulo Metro System, the Antônio Carlos Jobim International Airport and much more.
We also develop patents for products used in works throughout the country and in Latin America, such as:
